Frequently Asked Questions
Selection is based on three primary technical specifications:
· Load Capacity (Force): The maximum weight the actuator can push or pull. We offer models ranging from 1000N (220 lbs) for lighter tasks to 6000N (1320 lbs) for heavy-duty lifting.
· Stroke Length: The total travel distance of the inner rod (e.g., 100mm to 450mm).
· Voltage: Most models are designed for 12V DC systems, making them ideal for automotive, RV, and marine battery power.

Yes. There is a calibrated trade-off between speed and force.
· High-Force Models (6000N): Designed for maximum power, these move at a steady pace of approximately 4mm/s.
· Standard Models (1000N): Designed for lighter applications, these offer a faster travel speed of approximately 14mm/s.
Always ensure the speed meets your project's operational requirements.

Yes. Every Daier linear actuator is equipped with integrated, non-adjustable internal limit switches. These switches automatically cut the power when the rod reaches its fully extended or fully retracted position. This critical safety feature prevents the motor from stalling and ensures a long, maintenance-free service life.
Most of our linear actuators carry an IP54 protection rating. This provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. While they are durable for many sheltered outdoor uses (such as RV hatches or agricultural machinery), they are not waterproof against high-pressure jets or submersion. For long-term outdoor reliability, it is recommended to shield the motor housing from direct, heavy rainfall.
Linear actuators are polarity-sensitive DC devices. Reversing the movement is achieved by reversing the polarity of the power source. For a hassle-free setup, we recommend our Complete Kits, which include a pre-wired reverse polarity switch or remote controller, allowing for immediate "plug-and-play" control of the extension and retraction.
No. These units are factory-sealed and utilize a high-quality internal lubrication system that lasts for the entire lifespan of the product. No additional oiling or greasing is required. Keeping the outer stainless steel or aluminum rod clean from debris is the only maintenance needed for smooth operation.
